BURSCOUGH & LATHOM BOWLING LEAGUE
LEAGUE OBJECTIVE
To promote, develop, & provide competitive Crown Green Bowling within the Southport & West Lancashire area, within a boundary of 12 miles from the centre of Burscough, for all players of all abilities & ages. LEAGUE OUTLINE
The League is a well established & popular league which is noted for being one of the friendliest & competitive leagues in Lancashire, with matches being played on Friday nights between teams of eight players per side on some of the finest greens in the area. The League is also noted for being well organized & for its full programme of events from the beginning of April until early October which includes League Matches, Divisional Cup Matches (if required), League KO Cup Matches played on a 4 home/4 away basis, President's Day Competition, a Singles Competition & a Pairs Competition. The top division attracts some of the area's top players with play being of the highest standard whilst the second & third divisions provides competitive bowling for players of all abilities. The League currently consists of 26 teams in three divisions. League Fees are currently £75 per team per year including President's Day competition fees of £10 per team but are subject to review at the League's AGM each February. Total Prize Money per season (excluding Singles & Pairs competitions) = £575.
